Up for Review: Samsung PN58B550 Plasma TV. Samsung has completely focused on presenting a visual treat along with providing the best features in entertainment. It has a beautiful E-panel with FilterBright antiglare technology which provides a much less strain on your eyes by reducing the glare. You have the choice of placing the TV anywhere in the room without worrying about the light source. The handsome looks of the TV are further accentuated by the Touch of Color design which lends a grayish tint at the outer edges. The 58-inch screen is quite imposing and the characters almost take on a real-life look.
The looks are not the only asset of this TV. It is rich in features like the 600 Hz subfield motion which produces 0.001 ms response time. This is absolutely amazing with the images being refreshed so fast that you can never get the impression of some scenes lagging behind. This technology makes watching movies and playing video games a wonderful experience. Another aspect which aids in giving a magical touch to the picture quality is the resolution. The 1080p resolution is just perfect to view high definition images. It definitely makes your viewing experience more enjoyable.

Like all Samsung models, the Samsung PN58B550T2 also has a built-in HDTV tuner. All the regular fare which is aired across free channels can be accessed through the TV. But if you want to watch the more enjoyable channels which are encrypted, you will need a separate set top box. This can be obtained by paying a regular subscription. Other built-in features include two 15W speakers which will make you rock to the beat of music. With surround sound providing the required ambiance, there is nothing more you could ask to keep the entertainment meter high.
Connectivity options are numerous with 4 HDMI and a PC input. It makes using the HDTV as a computer monitor a very easy task. The 4 HDMI provide you access to copy-protected HD broadcast content. Connecting to camcorders and Blu-ray disc players can be made very easy. The PC input lets you use the HDTV as a computer monitor. And that’s not all!
