They will die on you in one form or another, most of the time a short while after the units warranty has run out. When you contact them, they will tell you there's nothing they ca do as the warranty is over. They will however refer you to a repair agency that will then proceed to tell you that it will cost anywhere from 350-600 dollars to fix. This is regrettable, as my unit cost 1499 and is now worthless. Thank you, panasonic, for absolutely nothing. Do not buy panasonic products! They will die on you in one form or another, most of the time a short while after the units warranty has run out. As of today, 10-26-10, the TV is dead. It ran fine last night, but today when I went in to turn it on, nothing. Just a blinking red power light. I read some information on the web, and it said when this red light blinks seven times, it's the kiss of death for the unit. I'm so angry that I paid nearly $700 for a TV that lasted only two-years and a couple of months. STAY AWAY!!!!!!
