Element PLX4202B Review – 42-inch Plasma HDTV

Packed with some of the most popular HDTV features, the PLX4202B is a pretty sleek and stylish HDTV. The exterior casing is black and silver with bottom mounted speakers to create a pretty impressive looking plasma flat panel set. However, the initial draw the to Element PLX4202B is its low, low price. At under $850, it is one of the lowest priced 42-inch plasma flat panels available. It’s not completely decked out with all the features but has just enough to keep you happy.

It also has great brightness and contrast ratio which is what you’re looking for in a good Plasma. It’s missing some convenience features like picture-in-picture but overall, the key features that matter are impressive, especially for how low priced this set is.

Overall? it’s an okay budget brand. There are probably a couple better options like Vizio.

Had a Vizio and the z and y boards blew out after 3 years – so instead of $700.00 to fix the Vizio, I bought an Element. Works like a charm – beautiful television and get compliments on it all the time. I’ve had it for about a year without incident. If the boards go bad, I’ll just buy a new one. Disposable televisions…I love the 21st century.

Our living room is too small for it LOL….but seriously… For the price, quality, features and beauty of this Plasma HD TV there really is no comparison in my opinion. For less than $500? Yeah, how can you go wrong? I highly recommend it for anyone. I think we are seeing the rise of a great new company here with Element. You gotta start somewhere right? Awesome Company.

For people who aren’t absolute experts in HD video quality this should more than suffice. No need to pay big bucks for the big name when this set does the job surprisingly well.

I have had my element 42 in Plasma HDTV for a year and have had absolutely no problems.The picture is clear and crisp but the small speakers are lacking, a decent surround sound system fixes that. Oh and it’s the biggest computer monitor I have ever had ,Net-flix works great on this set. Awesome HDTV set for the price!
