Up for Review: LG 26LT560C LED-LCD HDTV.
With people getting accustomed to the fine imagery of LED television sets, the commercial sections like hotels, restaurants and offices have taken the brunt of replacing the traditional TV sets with the brand new LED displays. Since the line of commercial displays stick to minimal parameters like picture clarity and decent sound and more importantly energy rated, the HDTV manufacturers have introduced a completely different line of products namely commercial displays. To cope with the increasing demand in low end commercial TVs which can be easily cloned the LG manufacturers introduced the 26 inch LT560C aptly designed for hotel rooms and office cabins. Before discussing further let us take a glance at the features and specifications.
LG 26LT560C Features & Specifications Review:
- 1366 X 768 Resolution
- Commercial Display
- 60 Hz refresh rate
- Edge Lit LED Backlighting
- 24p Real Cinema

- Smart Energy saving

The 26 inch commercial panel is not exactly what you would call an ultra slim design but is nevertheless appropriate even for high end hotels. It has broad black plastic bezel which makes it durable for rough use by multiple hands. It is held by a sturdy stand or can also be mounted if the room is a small one.
Designs apart, the LT560C has a decent performance as a commercial display. The 60 Hz refresh rate and 1366 X 768 resolution produce a well defined, clear, detailed and appropriately colored pictures with proper black levels and shadows. However, being a budget TV, it has a edge lit LED backlight technology. This is quite an old technology, however if you consider the minimal usage of the TV, it is rather an advantage and less wastage of money.
From the commercial display standpoint, the LT560C does a good job of retaining some features like 24p Real Cinema, XD Engine which processes images faster than any other technology and USB cloning. The USB cloning being the most essential feature helps to discard the use of a set top box in each room for displaying the same content. Instead the whole settings of a single main television set are replicated from one public display to another just with the help of a USB device.
In terms of connectivity, the LT560C does not really make a mark. However, there is nothing to complain the set being a commercial display unit. The panel has a HDMI and USB port for playing mp3 or viewing photos. On the other hand, the sound system of the set though with an output of 5 watt, has Clear Voice II technology which enhances the quality of acoustics.
Overall, the 26LT560C is a good choice for commercial use and when bought in bulk.
