Up for Review: Westinghouse LD-2685VX LED LCD TV. Westinghouse Digital has always produced cutting edge technology at very affordable price. It has pioneered the advent of 1080p resolution TV’s at very reasonable price. The latest product released is the new Westinghouse LD-2685VX. With its sleek design and magnificent crafted looks plus the latest use of the LED technology, it has already grabbed the audioholics attention. It has provided the most futuristic solution to the LED blackening problem of the normal LCD TVs. It uses the edge-lit LED technology which produces an effect of overall blackening to the panel, thus producing superb picture quality that is aesthetic to the eyes. The high definition audio and video gives the user a tranquil and serene experience.
The normal LCDs generally have pixels which try to block the light to produce a darker black impression. Gradually the process fails as there is leakage of light around the edges. In the case of Westinghouse LD-2685VX, it uses the turned off LEDs to produce a blacker effect to give the picture a quality as viewed in a Plasma TV. There are currently two versions of the LED technology that have been put in practice namely edge-lit and back-lit. The company compares the energy consumption of this model with that of 40 watt light bulb. Well that was the feature that gained the maximum attention and the customers cared about.
