Yes, I have to agree with Ryan, good for a year and a half and then the dark areas started. At barely three years old, we have to put up with at least an hour or so of very dark screen. Should a $1200. t v only be expected to last less than one and a half years. I have a 12 year old JVC still worjing on a porch with a beautiful picture, no waiting for a good picture and....... yet no flat screen HD
So it's buyer beware, as with most things in life. Will not recommend VIZIO to anyone, Hello FaceBook..

Our TV worked for about 18 months. Then it wouldn/t shut off and didn't recognize the HDMI. It would cost $400 to fix it. I have been told this is typical for VIZIO and I won't be buying anything from them.

I loved the TV at first, but just as my 1 year warranty expired I started to get dark areas on the left side of my screen. After watching for about 30 minutes, it seems to go away. You can't play any video games or watch anything in detail. I would never buy a Visio again.

Do yourself a favor and purchase the extended warrenty. Vizio was awesome for a little over a year. After that the Dash Board went out and the part cost more then the TV it self. This is a know issue with Vizio's and that is why they are selling a line of refurbished TV. Trying to work a deal with Walmart as Vizio wouldn't even talk to me about it since it was a month over the year.

I can't record a tv program from my vw46L. It will not record a tape or disc. This makes me sorry I did not research my choice of tv's more closely before buying!

After six months my Vizio was great too. Twelve months later, NOT. Horizontal lines going across the top half of the screen. It's in the panel and it is costly.

When you put this tv to use on an HD channel, you will see things you have never seen before. Great tv for the money. Sporting events are so clear you can pick out people in the stands while focusing on the action. I actually saw a gnat fly onto Tiger Woods golf ball. Had it for 3 months and it has run flawless! Glare in a room with a lot of light is minimal, much better than the CRT tv I had there before. Highly recommend it.
