Vizio VW42L / VX42L Review – 42-inch LCD HDTV

Many people are skeptical of purchasing an expensive TV from a lesser known brand for obvious reasons. Lots of people have tried out the Vizio line of LCD TV’s and the user feedback is starting to flow in. The Vizio VX42LHDTV10A is a 42″ widescreen LCD HDTV that is available from large retailers like Wal-Mart. So how does the Vizio VX42LHDTV10A stack up against the big boys of flat panel TV? Surprisingly well, actually. The Vizio VX42LHDTV10a definitely falls under one of the best value TV’s on the market. The Vizio VX42LHDTV10A has some great features that you find on higher end TV’s like picture-in-picture and a built-in over-the-air HD antenna. If you are in a large market area, you can actually receive some HD programming for free through your antenna. It has tons of input options for all of your external players like DVD, VHS or video games. Most users biggest dissatisfaction with the Vizio VX42LHDTV10A is the sound quality but this can easily be fixed with a surround sound system (which can be fun too 
). The Vizio VX42LHDTV10A is a great value buy and entry level LCD TV for those looking for a good quality, reasonably priced LCD TV.

Bought a Vizio VW42L 3 years ago; all of a sudden the screen went black. I talked with the tech rep at Vizio and was told the TV was not repairable.

very unhappy. While my vizo vw42l only bought 3 years ago screen turned black while watching, Got my paperwork out on it called the phone number on ALL psperwork and get told the number has been disconected! Hmmmm wonder why????? Been trying ti call a number on the computer I found but cant seem to get through! I have bought and had t.vs for way longer than three years! Come on now. Until I get through to thee people I would tell everybody looking to buy a neww t.v NEVER EVER buy vizo.
Unless you dont mind throwing your money away.
