Up for review: Vizio VA260E-W. The 26” VA260E-W is one of the seven new EcoHD(TM) LCD HDTV’s that has been launched by the VIZIO group. These EcoHD(TM) LCD HDTV’s are designed to consume less energy. VIZIO even claims the new VA260E-W will exceed the Energy Star 3.0 requirement standards by as much as 25%.
The white colored bezel and compact design of the new VIZIO VA260E-W gives it a very stylish outlook. This EcoHD(TM) LCD model is expected to be out in the market by summer 2009 with a cost of around $399.99. This could be an ideal buying for budget minded customers for its price as well as energy saving feature. With 60 Hz refresh rate and 1366 x 768 pixels resolution, the new VIZIO VA260E-W is likely to offer standard image quality. And dynamic contrast ratio of 2400:1 is sure to produce pictures without any motion blur especially during high action sequences. The 26” wide screen will no doubt provide better viewing irrespective of the offside viewing.

VIZIO seems to have given more emphasis to eco-friendly products while designing the new EcoHD(TM) LCD HDTV’s. Apart from being Energy Star 3.0 compliant, the new VIZIO VA260E-W is also RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant. Which means the hazardous materials generally found in electronic products are not used in this new 22-inch LCD TV.
With standard image output, the video quality might not be very impressive, but the new VIZIO VA260E-W is embedded with SRS Lab’s advanced audio technology i.e. SRS TruSurround XT. Hence this VA260E-W LCD TV is most likely to deliver an enveloping surround sound experience complete with clear dialog and powerful bass. And with 2 HDMI inputs, external connectivity seems to be no issue. There is also a game port which is sure to be a source for attraction for gaming enthusiasts. With so many performance oriented features, the new VIZIO VA260E-W is sure to get a good response from consumers.
