Not true 240hz. 120hz with backlighting enhancement.
Will wait for second tier makers (Vizio/LG/Etc) to get true 240hz.

I just purchased a Vizio sv471xvt and I am very pleased. This t.v has really impressed me.For those looking at purchasing one at a reasonable price and still get superb quality this is it.Keep in mind you need good hdmi cables and hd signal from cable or dish or else well expect a not so clear picture or blury effect.I personally us my ps3 and it looks great.Looking foward to future products from this company.

I agree with Paul H. I am experiencing graininess that I wouldn't expect with a 240hz. It is worse than the Sony 60hz I was repacing. I am taking mine back.

I purchased the Vizio VLM470 a month ago and today purchased the 240 hz Vizio SV471XVT. Both are great televisions but there is a picture difference.

Despite only having 120hz, the VLM470 has a significantly clearer picture than does the SV471XVT. I don't understand it. The VLM470 picture is so clear that movies don't look like movies but actually look like a movie set. The SV471XVT is $100 more than the VLM470 and movies do look like movies. The 240hz refresh rate of the SV471XVT doesn't seem to do a thing. Has anyone else seen this difference? I'm about to take the SV471XVT back.

Had this TV about a week and so far I love it. The picture is amazing even though I don't have a Digital cable box yet. The images are superb. I don't think you can beat this TV for the money. Bought it at Costco for $1,099.

•	Pros: Amazing Television. This TV has an excellent picture (very bright, very clear, limited ghosting that you get with the 60Hz and even the 120Hz) that even the top dollar brands that cost nearly twice as much can beat.

Cons: The only thing I wish it had would be LED backlighting and had the web-enabled features the next model will have.

The bottom line is this TV is one of the best that I could find for your dollar. It has the features that in other brands would cost about $1000 more. VIZIO is defiantly the way to go for any consumer on a budget. Both Father In-Law and myself own VIZIO TV’s and are very happy with our purchases. He has had his for about 2 months and I have had mine for right at a week. My only worry is how long will it work. I have read many reviews in the past of VIZIO owners having issues with their TV after the warranty is up. I guess only time will tell…..
