The M550NV Does have 3 USB Ports on the side and page 14 of the instruction mannual indicates you can up load pictures. NOT TRUE in fact I was told they are for service only. The box states there are 3 USB Ports. Tech support stated and I quote ” I DOES NOT SAY THEY WORK” so VIZIO get’s a big thumbs down for false advertizing. I’ll be happy to give anyone my phone number if they would like to discuss. Try calling Corporate, they could care less. Let’s see what the thin k of my face book review.

The M55onv is my fifth Vizio purchase. I have had a great experence with all from 20″ to this latest 55″. The set up was simple, the price was gereat and the picture is outstanding. The sound I guess could be a little better buy hey, this is a TV not a home theater! You want better sound? Hook it up to a good stereo or multi channel amp and speakers.

  3. Jarrod's reviewDecember 30, 2010

I purchased this tv and i am getting a strange black horizontal line effect when video smoothing is on. The video looked amazing, almost to real for a few weeks before these lines appeared. Now I cant watch it with smoothing on and the tv looks just average now. I will be contacted tect support about this issue, as I cannot seem to find anything about it so far.

  4. Mike V's reviewJanuary 01, 2011

Agree with Keith. GREAT TV in every aspect.. EXCEPT the USB ports. there seems absolutely no way to use them. They do not cycle on the list of inputs.
It makes no sense whatsoever… and yes it is false advertising. disappointed on that front and feel a little cheated.. however the rest of the tv is awesome.

  5. Rick K's reviewJanuary 13, 2011

Purchased unit on Oct 30th. Last night the picture went out and the logo flashes white and orange and still won’t power up. Vizio wants to send a tech. Probably will return to Sam’s for exchange.

  6. Charles's reviewJanuary 20, 2011

My experience with the 55″ m550nv has not been pleasant 1st one had a mind of its on. It would shut down and you had no control then just come back on. The picture re sized itself at will. The USB ports are advertised to be able to show pictures, THEY DON’T WORK AT ALL. The speaker is cheap with poor sound. Not pleasant to have to take it off the wall and return it for a new one after owning it 1 month. Yes it is bluetooth ready. That does work. Just can’t recommend it.
