Picked this TV up 1 wk. ago after lightening killed 2 conventional tube TV’s through my cable wire. So far – so good – no complaints. Still looking to perfectly calibrate it – and I don’t have HDTV or a blu-ray player – but overall picture quality and sound are pretty darned good. You have lots of options to adjust sound, picture quality, and picture viewing modes. You also cannot touch a comparable 32″ TV w/the same specs as this 37″ TV ANYWHERE for the $498 Walmart price!

  2. Guy Gimson's reviewAugust 17, 2010

My experience with an E370VL has been very different – I’ve had it for 2 weeks now. The SRS TrueVolume is truly useless – I have digital cable thru Comcast and find some channels loud, some quiet. Some have loud programs with quiet commercials, some the other way around. There’s absolutely no logic to it. So don’t buy this unit unless you’re willing to keep your thumb on the Volume button all the time.

  3. Bruce's reviewSeptember 11, 2010

The E370VL has been GREAT, except for the sound. SRS TruVolume DOES NOT work. Sound fluctuates between shows and commercials. It even fluctuates DURING shows. You have to have the remote in your hands at all times.

I have had my E370VL since the end of June and it has broken stopped working twice. Vizio did send a repair man to replace a board but it took a week. The TV worked for three days and now we have had to send it back to Vizio at our expense so that they can send us a new, but possibly opened before replacement.

My wife and I bought this TV as an early Christmas gift for us. We needed an upgrade. We paid $399 at Sam’s Club the day before Thanksgiving to avoid the Black Friday rush. Even though we don’t yet have a HD service connection, the native resolution, when adjusted correctly, is really quite sharp. Plenty of bang for the buck here. Looking into getting a sound bar later on, too for better music listening. I’m usually not a fan of extended warranties, but I bought the 2 year extended warranty offered for $29.99. We love the TV.
