I originally bought this TV Dec. 2008 based on reviews I found on the web. It's been a great TV with picture quality and sound (had it hooked up to separate surround). The other day I went to turn it on and it refused. Just a blinking yellow light.. 3 blinks, then another set of 3 and so on. There was no storm the night before when I shut it down and I use a very high quality surge protector. I did some research and found HUNDREDS of people with the same problem. I believe Toshiba had built-in obsolescence into this model (who knows if it extends to other models). I tried all the DYI fixes to no avail. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER TOSHIBA PRODUCT and if anyone knows of a class-action lawsuit regarding this model... please let me know. I'm tired of just rolling over and letting big business stick it to me.
