I bought my sony 46xbr9 in November of '09 and within 21/2 months it has already malfunctioned on multiple occasions. It continues to turn itself off in the middle of watching a program. Sony hasn't been much help either. They don't seem very concerned with my issues. If I could go back and do it all over again I would not buy this tv or any other sony products. I am through with them.

Sony - KDL-46XBR9

We purchased this tv because my wife wanted a Sony and the name Sony tells you its a known brand name. Well, we bought all the top notch HDMI cables & Blue Ray DVD, & Suround sound. Everything sounds great but the picture is very bad. I dont know if the regular tv channels suppose to look better or what but they look worse than the $150 dollar tv I used to have and bought at Sam's. I went to Comcast and got the HD box to go with it. If I watch the Blue Ray DVD then it looks great, but if I buy a sports even in HD, then you can see the motion flow, and its a 240Hz, its not supposed to have it!!! You are not supposed to see the flow. I even hear that with HD you will see even the wrinkles on people, Wow!!! Sony really kicked our but with sorry tv.
