Up for Review: Sony KDL-32EX700 LED LCD TV. When it comes to the smaller screen size, the manufacturers generally tend to overlook the requirements of the consumers. But this time, Sony is making sure that it rakes in all the profits from this zone too. Understanding the mindset of the budget conscious consumers who want to get the latest HDTV and yet do not want to dish out too much extra from their earnings, Sony has produced this model. Except for the 3D technology, it has everything which is there in the flagship models from Sony this year.
The models released towards the end of last year had tried to incorporate the Internet options but on a small scale. But this year, all the manufacturers have gone full steam in integrating access to the Internet. The Bravia® Internet Video option allows you to stream content from a variety of sources including Netflix and YouTube. Your evenings can now be more enjoyable with standard TV fare on one hand and latest website content on the other. The effort to rope in still more variety in websites is going on. Other manufacturers have made sure that Skype is accessible and we may soon see the inclusion of similar sites in Sony models.
Sony KDL-32EX700 Features and Specifications Review:
- Full HD 1080p Resolution
- BRAVIA® Internet Video
- USB Input
- Edge LED backlight
- Motionflow™ 120Hz Technology
- Presence Sensor
- Wi-Fi® Adapter Ready
- Ambient Sensor
- Energy Saving Switch
The Energy Saving Switch is a very interesting feature of this TV. Even the small amount of current which was being used up during the stand by mode will now be conserved. By keeping the TV in this mode, it will detach power from the main source and you will save further on your bills. Energy conservation is an important topic in HDTVs now with every manufacturer vying to make the TVs more and more eco-friendly. The Edge LED backlight feature of this TV also contributes to the energy saving features and so does the sensors.
Among the many sensors available in the TV, there is a presence sensor and an ambient sensor. The ambient sensor makes sure that the TV adjusts the color and the brightness according to the ambiance in the room. And the presence sensor is a totally new concept where the TV is able to guess if you are not attentive to the programs and dims the light accordingly. If you leave the room for half an hour, it will go into stand by mode. It will also shut down the picture mode and just keep the audio on when you are outside a particular range. Sony has certainly made this TV for people who have no desperate need for 3D. This model will suit their needs best.
