Sharp’s latest offering, the AQUOS LC-65D64U, is a gateway for the 1080p revolution. Be it in your bedroom or even living room, the 65″, 16:9 Widescreen, 1080p, slim, stylish AQUOS LC-65D64U LCD TV is sure to enhance the decor. its ultra wide 176 degree viewing angle ensures great image quality even in rooms with ambient light, even if you’re sitting directly in front of the TV or off to the side. The Sharp AQUOS LC-65D64U offers multiple connections such as HDMI, component, and PC with a RS-232 port for creating your ideal home theater. Thanks to the built-in ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuners, now you can access the DTV and analog TV channels. Even the fine motion technology is also included in this high-end HDTV. for wall-mounting convenience, side terminals have been added.
With a price of around $4,999.99 MSRP, Sharp AQUOS LC-65D64U might look a bit overpriced, but has a lot of advance features to compensate for the high-price.

Sharp AQUOS LC-65D64U has most of the features which you would like to have in high definition television. With a giant screen size of 65 inches, 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 4ms response time, AQUOS LC-65D64U raises the bar by fitting a large screen size into an incredibly small format.
However, to get the picture right, it takes a lot of fiddling with the colors and settings. Also as there is no PIP, it’s a challenge to view HD broadcasts on the whole screen and you have to use “zoom” to fill the screen. After the TV is on for a short while, there have been reports of an odor emitting. The heat and fumes radiating off the 65″screen means you should have a minimum of 10 feet distance from this giant HDTV as highly recommended.
But Sharp Aquous LC-65D64U does have some of the best features such as slim footprint not as heavy as some of the other models, easy setup mode, clarity of HD broadcasts, HDMI connections, X.V. Color, built-in ATSC/QAM/NTSC tuners, a PC input and 2 HD component video inputs, and awesome picture quality.

I’ve had four months experience with this great TV. Enough time that I feel able to write a review. The picture is better than I expected. No problems with refresh speed watching action movies on Blu-ray or sports on TV. Black is black and colors are deep and rich. WIfe is even happy I bought this TV! I’ve never been very satisfied with TV sound and this TV was no exception. Hooking up a Yamaha YSP4000 sound bar solved that minor irritation.
There have been no fumes or odors from mine. Would absolutely purchase this TV again if I had to do it over.
