Samsung 550EXn Review: 55” LED HDTV

The Samsung Syncmaster LED LFD 550EXn features the much talked about large format displays (LFD).

Additionally, Samsung 550EXn also incorporates LED backlight unit (BLU). It has a thin body that is only 1.6-inche deep and is also one of the lightest HD TVs. To be more specific, it weight about 43 percent less than the other similar models, saves up to 40 percent energy and weighs about 70% less. The 120 Hz refresh rate ensures that you get no shredding of images and the 8 ms response time also makes sure the images burn faster into the panel with a naturally aptness that makes TV watching a great experience. Among the information panels launched by Samsung, this model adds in the features of a high performance PC. Samsung 550EXn is also loaded with 40GB hard drive and Windows XP. So you can stream content and store it for later viewing without having to add external storage devices.

The EXn models have an added advantage of being a full PC along with incorporating video connectivity. Talking about the interface and default softwares, Samsung 550EXn has MagicInfo which makes content stream a fun activity. You can connect with the high speed network connectivity through it and manage the content you want to receive. It is expected to hit the market in March 2010.
