Waited till HDNET had it's setup test pattern on and finished it up on that. Black is very good! Colors are excellent. Sharpness of picture is very good! One minor complaint is the picture dulls out if you are setting at the sides. Directly in front you cant beat the picture! OTA is the best HD but Dish network is very close behind. I think Panasonic did a great job on this one! I ended up buying mine from Amazon: TV out of the box was close to perfect picture!
