Review of Mitsubishi LT-46149: 1080p 46” LCD HDTV
Up for review: the Mitsubishi LT-46149 flat panel high definition 1080p LCD TV . Incorporated with iSP (Integrated Sound Projector), this HDTV eliminates the need for separate audio components, wires and controls. Integrated with 16 speakers which provide 5.1 channel sound field, iSP gives a neat look to the LT46149 TV. The dimensions of the room can be entered to give an optimal surround sound effect to the listener. A subwoofer is also available to boost the low-frequency sound waves. In fact, the superb sound quality is a big draw in comparison to the sound effects of the conventional TV speakers. Mitsubishi has done a great job with sound quality where most HDTV manufacturers keep it simple. The stock sound system is great for most viewers but true home theater nuts will still opt for the extra subwoofer and surround sound speakers.
The requirement for a cable box is completely done away with by the built-in CableCARD-ready tuner. Inserting a cable card is sufficient to watch all channels which means you can have one less box cluttering up your room. LT46149 employs Smooth 120 Hz Film Motion with anti-blur technology to provide judder-free, smooth and natural images, especially in fast-moving and action oriented scenes.
