Up for Review: Magnavox 32MF337B LCD TV. It is one of the latest models that are out for sale. Its superb picture quality has its own plus points. Adding to its strengths, Magnavox 32MF337B has multiple inputs and very advanced menu system that offers helpful tips on the bottom of the screen. This HDTV is also priced on the lower side making it accessible to more number of users. The viewing angle is good at 176 degrees but there is a problem at the edges. The panel seems to fade and the images appear darker than normal.
You can use the Magnavox 32MF337B as a computer monitor as well. The presence of a VGA input makes this possible. Besides doubling as a monitor, this HDTV also has a built-in digital tuner. It can get hold of free-to-air digital signals and you can view these channels on the HDTV. The connectivity is also good with many inputs beside 2 HDMI connections. Now you can connect gaming devices, camcorders and other digital devices for your entertainment.

Based on the DVE test patterns, Magnavox 32MF337B is one of the models in the market which saves a lot of power. It has some drawbacks like lack of backlight control and poor black levels but they are not very significant in the long run. However, if you can do away with these drawbacks, the model is not a bad choice. Its superior picture quality is at par with any other top models available in the market and its price is comparatively lower than the superior models.
With a resolution of 1366 x 768p, the picture quality is quite good. Although it doesn’t have 1080p resolution, the images are still very good. The contrast ratio is however a bit poor at 1200:1. This is the reason for poor black levels. But if you sit directly in front of the TV, you will have no problems. Investing in this HDTV is not a bad idea. It is a good set to purchase, especially in the time of recession.
