Up for Review: LG 42LM5700 LED LCD TV. LG has designed the TV set without including passive 3D technology support. The model also does not sport the ultra-slick bezel design sported by other TV sets launched by the manufacturer. But LG has integrated the Smart TV feature with the model to allow users to access a wide variety of online applications, games, movies, music, photos and videos.
You can always consider the TV set to access the traditional and 2D digital content. The 1080p resolution offered by the model is the maximum and supports all types of non-3D content. A user gets the options to watch the television programs aired on various channels with an enhanced resolution. Along with the informative programs like news and weather, your family members can watch their favorite talk shows and family dramas with an increased 1080p HD resolution.
However, the TV set may not be popular among the youngsters and kids as it will not support their favorite 3D movies and video games. Further, the model comes with 120 Hz refresh rate that looks almost normal and basic before the subfield motion rate offered by other TV sets launched by LG. You can watch the faster moving sports and action scenes without any motion blur. But the refresh rate is not high enough to complement the quick scenes and movie clips. The refresh rate also will have an impact on the video game playing experience of the kids.
