$949.95, it’s quite affordable. Even with this modest price, this model has a surplus of high-end accessories that promises to deliver higher performance. LG 26LG40 has 5,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 720p HD resolution for better picture quality. This model has side-loading progressive scan DVD player and invisible speaker system.
The LG 26LG40 model comes with HDMI and auto-configure system which automatically adjusts the picture position and minimizes image instability. Manual settings feature is also available in case the viewer is not satisfied with the automatic adjustment. The picture mode helps the customers to select the factory preset picture that depends on the viewing environment. This model has Del/add and fav options, by which viewers can delete/add or even add a number of channels to their favorite list. What’s more, the TV can be turned off automatically if you set the amount of time. With these features, it’s not a bad deal for those who are new to HDTV. MY sister lived with me for a while and had this LG TV that we used to own it’s pretty darn good especially to see a show in HDTV because I only owned a old cheap Magnavox 27′ which broke accidently when my 7 year old kinda ran into itand it fell. Only in my DREAMS have I owned any flatscreen or HDTV.Now my sisiters moved out and took it with her I really enjoyed watching it the COLOR and RESOLUTION were CLEAR AND AWESOME I could see things Ive never seen before on one of my fav tv shows HOUSE!!

26lg40 is asmart tv picture quality very impressive, sound not to bad. menu very easy to navigate. the only niggle is the sound quality is poor on dvd films. you have to increase volume level up to 95 percent.
