Insignia NS-LCD42 (NSLCD42) Review – 42-inch LCD HDTV

It includes many of the popular features you see on other HDTV’s like 720p resolution and HDMI inputs for HD accessories like video game players and high definition disc players. The exterior casing of the NSLCD42 is a simple charcoal gray and black. Insignia falls into the budget flat panel category and for under $900, you won’t find many that compete with this HDTV.

A review of the NSLCD42 finds that its a pretty average 40+ inch LCD HDTV. It includes the necessary features that you should look for in a good HDTV like 720p resolution and 1000:1 contrast ratio. You can always find TV’s with better features like 1080p and higher contrast ratio but for the average viewer, this is usually sufficient. If you’re looking for a more impressive flat panel, you’ll definitely have to look at almost doubling your price range. If shopping the budget brands, the Insignia NS-LCD42 should be on your watch list.
