Up for Review: Insignia NS-L19Q-10A LCD TV. Insignia has really tried its best to woo all kinds of audiences. With this small HDTV, it expects the people with a liking for smaller TVs to go in for this set. This 19” display can be kept in kitchens, offices and other small rooms. People living in small houses but having a decided liking for HDTVs can opt for this TV too. It also fits the budget of most people. Since it has all the basic features expected from an HDTV, people love this TV and want to make it a part of their home.
The small display has nothing to do with the features of this TV which are adequate for its size and price. With only 5 ms response time and 60 Hz refresh rate, there is hardly any blurring and streaking with razor-sharp pictures. It is a pleasure to watch the action sequences where the frames do not lag behind. Be it intense fighting between the hero and the villain or a very exciting car race, the images appears as natural as possible. You can enjoy the great picture quality because of the 720p resolution. The clarity of the images is enhanced and the images are really crisp to the eye.

The viewing angles are decent but can be improved greatly too. With 170 degrees horizontal and 160 degrees vertical viewing angles, the images are a bit washed out at the edges. The colors are far from impressive and you will not get a clear picture if you are far away from the TV. But there can be no complaints about the sound. With a sound leveler and two 3W stereo speakers, the result is an emphatic sound quality which allows you to listen to the dialogues and music with great clarity.
Like all good HDTVs, the Insignia NS-L19Q-10A is also quite complete as far as connectivity options are concerned. Even this small TV has 2 HDMI which is quite sufficient to view the latest high definition signals from devices like camcorders, Blu-ray disc players and gaming consoles. Other inputs include 2 composite, 1 component, 1 S-video, 1 PC and 1 RF. Most of these inputs are located at the rear of the TV. There is also an USB port but only for firmware upgrades and service work. Priced at $189.99 MSRP, it is good enough to prompt anyone to buy this TV.
