What more needs to be said – Ditto. Element will most likely be out of business by the end of the year – The Internet travels quickly.
Patrick – I don’t consider sharing our experiences on a blog/forum is “bashing” – we are in essence doing exactly what the Internet was designed to do – Inform.
If we can stop one person from wasting their hard earned money on an Element – then our experiences have not gone in vain.

Purchase an element 22″ TV about two years ago at a circut city sale, was a great TV for the two years it worked… loved it but since it died so quit will never buy again (Sorry Element)

Looking into a Phillips Hope it lasts longer.

Purchased 40″ Element 40LE45Q from Kmart December of 2010. Officially dead as of this morning. Never had an issue with it, worked fine last night, now nothing. Wonderful use of $400. My 32″ Phillips purchased in May of 2007 works wonderfully, as does my parents Zeinth…purchased 27 years ago.

DON’T DO IT!!! We purchased this TV to use very infrequently. After about 30 hours of use in 2 months the screen goes blacke and there is no help unless you want to pay to ship it to the east coast for more than the cost to buy a new one! I have read reviews and found that those poor souls who bought Elements on the east coast had to ship to the west coast!! I seems that they are selling a product with the knowledge it will break and make it unlikely consumers will send it in for repair. One guy who actually sent it in received his tv back in 2 months, but it was broken again in 6. Buy a better brand that will work for longer than it takes to pay the credit card bill!!!

we bought this tv and it lasted 16 mos. I will never buy another element. It is a piece of junk. I do have another element that we’ve had for over 3yrs.ont want to say much about it because i dont want to jinx it.

Piece of crap. Got it at circuit city before they went out of business. Not 3 weeks later the sound started to crackle. Then the screen started to randomly go black so I would have sound (crackling) but a black screen. I have to power off and back on to get a picture back. What a joke and big waste of money. I won’t go the cheap route again. Stickin to the proven brands.

This Element TV is a 26″ LCD Model #26LE30Q, it was built March 2009.
There are 4 lines about 4″ wide that come out vertically when ever they want to, and it distorts the picture. If I tap on the screen lightly they go away and everything works fine for the moment.
Sounds to me like 10 cent capacitors have been put in these TVs.
Unknown brands give u unknown problems.
Take it from me

got it as a gift one and a half years ago. it sucks that i have to use it as a radio as i have no picture. called store and manufacturer but got nowhere.

bought at WalMart.Replaced in 1 week due to bad screen.Screen developed large black spots.Sent to Hisense(The company that actually makes this tv).Was told I had damaged the set,and they would not cover it.After some back and forth,they agreed it may not have been damaged,but defective,and they would replace the set.That was a month ago.Called today,and was told that altho they agreed to replace it,the tech who first made the damage call,hasent signed off on the replacement,so they dont know when I will recieve the set???Strange,crooked bunch.Probably used to double talk,because,with the lousy quality of their products,they get plenty of practice.

Bought this t.v 5 months ago after about two months I would have to unplug it and plug it back in to make it work … tonight it just stopped working . so so upset . I don’t have the 100+ it will take to ship back nor do I have the money to buy a new one so now I’m out a damn tv !!! Really makes me made ! Will never ever buy element again !!!! price of sh*t
