Up for Review: AOC Envision LE24H067 LED LCD TV. With LED technology taking over the market, you will find all HDTV manufacturers jumping into the fray and vying for a lion’s share. AOC Envision has set its eyes on being one of the most affordable HDTV manufacturers today. This 24-inch model has tried to integrate some of the best basic features while keeping a stern eye on the price. You will be surprised to find that being only 24 inches in size, this TV has 1080p resolution. That surely helps give a very good picture with razor-sharp images. You might think that 720p could have brought the price down a little further, but still the thought of getting full HD resolution is sure to make you feel pleased.
AOC has integrated edge-lit LED technology in this model. This makes it possible for the TV to be as thin as 1.5 inches. Although you won’t get local dimming in this set, which would have enhanced the picture quality still further, the LEDs located at the edges also do a pretty good job of providing good brightness. If getting a thin set is your objective to make it look great on the walls, then this model is a good choice. The external look is quite good and very like most of the HDTVs in the stores. A thin black bezel with a flat, rectangular stand is enough to make the TV look good. Although it may not be classy enough to grace the living room, yet it is a good choice for the kid’s room or the office.

Since this isn’t the primary TV for most households, it won’t worry you much that the refresh rate is only 50 Hz. This is a very low refresh rate and it will not allow you to view the images without any blurring. You will not be able to watch fast action scenes with pleasure as the frames will not be able to refresh themselves fast enough for blurring to be eliminated. If you are planning to keep this set in the kid’s room, then they might complain while playing fast-moving games on the gaming console. However, if all you want is to view the regular TV programs then this set will be alright for you.
Connectivity is good with HDMI, VGA, Component video, Composite video, Digital Audio and headphone connections available on the set. You can plug in a high definition device like Blu-ray player, camcorder or gaming console to watch movies and videos and also play games. There is no USB port though, which means you cannot watch the digital output from your camera or thumb drive on the screen. In fact, this is a basic set which gives you a good deal at a price of $229.99 MSRP. If watching normal talk shows and reality shows is your aim, then it should suit you fine.
